- Agencies (IRW) – The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guaterres said that the U.S. President Donald Trump’s warning to the Syrian regime president «Bashar #Assad» is a “Serious Warning”.
The White House has announced on Monday that #Assad is preparing to launch a chemical weapons attack on his own citizens, warning that the regime would “pay a heavy price” if it goes ahead.
Guaterres said that Trump’s warning “Should be heard”, after taking a question from a reporter during a visit to the U.S. Department of State in Washington on Wednesday (June 28) after being welcomed by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
On the one side, #Damascus denied the accusations, while Kremlin said it reviewed the White House’s statement about a new chemical attack in #Syria, wondering what the White House depended in its report.
