- Displaced women & children reported died of thirst while trying to escape #ISIS-held Area

- #Hasakah : Three women and two children died of thirst last night after they left #ISIS-held area towards the southern Hasaka countryside.

Local sources said that the water ran out of the women south of Hasakah, after the smuggler left them and fled, despite the fact that he was being given huge amounts of money to help smuggling them out of #ISIS-held area.

Thousands of civilians have been displaced by ISIS in many areas following intensive airstrikes by Russian and coalition warplanes since the beginning of the counter-ISIS military operation.

It is worth mentioning that #ISIS prevents civilians from leaving their territory and imposes sanctions, which could go up to death for smugglers who take civilians out of their control areas to the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF-held areas north of Raqqa and south of Hasaka.
