- Despite the severe Lack of Electricity in Syria... the Regime gives 3 Additional Hours to Lebanon

Agencies (IRW) - Lebanese Minister of Finance Ali Hassan Khalil signed an agreement with the Syrian government to supply Lebanon with 300 megawatts of electricity at a cost of 400 billion Lebanese pounds. The agreement covers three additional hours of electricity.

The Lebanese Energy Minister asked the Lebanese government to approve the offer of the General Power Generation in Syria to increase the amount of electricity supplied to Lebanon to 300 megawatts, and cover the cost.

This comes at a time when Syria suffers from a severe electricity crisis. The electricity rationing hours in most of the Syrian governorates in the regime-held areas reached more than 18 hours per day, while electricity is absent from large parts of Syria, due to lack of the Necessary fuel and gas for generators plants.

Syrians face long hours of power outages, running large-size local generators, buying Batteries or solar power and small electricity generators.
