- Caliber Missiles Launched from the Mediterranean Hit ISIS Position Near Deir Ezzor


The Russian Defense Ministry announced this morning that the Admiral Essen frigate stationed in the Mediterranean Sea fired caliber missiles on ISIS targets in Deir Ezzor.

Local sources in the city of Idlib told Qasioun that they witnessed the passage of the missile over the city, coming from the Syrian coast heading east.
  
The ministry explained that as a result of these rocket strikes, outposts, communication centers, weapons depots and ammunition storage were destroyed, noting it confirmed that the effectiveness of strikes through were guaranteed by reconnaissance UAV and posted later Video footage recorded by drones.

This comes in conjunction with a large-scale military operation launched by the regime forces backed by foreign militias and Russian air support, aimed at entering the city of Deir Ezzor, which has been besieged by ISIS since 2014, and successfully broke the siege off the city today.
