- Hundred Female Detainees: Agreement to Exchange the Captured Pilot of the Syrian Regime


An agreement has been made between the #Assad regime and Opposition factions in the Syrian Desert southern Syria, to exchange the captured pilot the his aircraft was shot two weeks ago, with a number of terms have been set by the opposition, with a Jordanian Mediation and Guarantee.

The commander of Jaish Osoud al-Sharqeya, Talas al-Salami al-Ali, said on Friday that the exchange of the captured pilot with the regime will be carried out through Jordan and that it came at the request of the Jordanian side as a Guarantor.

Al-Salama said that they requested: liberating 100 female prisoners, release the prisoners of war from the two factions (Jaish Osoud al-Sharqeya and Ahmad al-'Abdu forces), opening a road to the eastern Qalamoun; one-time round trip, to extract opposition fighters and equipment to the Syrian desert, and return the regime forces 40 km towards Syria away from the borders near As-Suwayda countryside and Al-Tanaf base.

He pointed out that it also included the cessation of airstrikes on borders areas and on refugee camps along the borders, and to release the families who were arrested from the city of Al-Asharah and Atebh, after the pilot was captured, which they weren’t originally a part of the agreement, because they were arrested as a pressure measure on the opposition.

The commander said that he had been informed by the Jordanian side to deliver the pilot within the terms and the agreement guaranteed by Jordan, to be implementation by the Russians, adding that they are waiting for the Jordanian side to complete the implementation of the agreement.

The regime pilot ‘Ali al-Hilu’ in addition to thirty-one soldiers captured by opposition earlier, arrived on Thursday evening, to the military security branch of the regime in As-Suwayda.
