- Syrian Refugees Returning Home Will Get DNA test to Confirm Their Syrian Identity

- The Ministries of Justice and Interior of the Syrian regime, announced that several meetings were held regarding Syrian refugees in the background of a proposal to conduct DNA tests on them, to make sure they are Syrians in origin.

Hussein Nofal, head of forensic medicine at Damascus University, said that the meeting with officials from the Ministry of Interior and Justice to discussed mechanisms to solve the problem of proving Syrians who fled Syria and have not yet received the ID card or legal papers.

"These Syrian refugees, if they return to Syria, must check their personalities," Nofal said.

The Syrian regime earlier estimated the number of refugees who left the country since 2011 by 2 million Syrians who were 14 years old and are now 20 years old.
