- 2 Children were reportedly dead and 30 others were infected after eating a poisonous stuff in exchange to the salt.
The incident was reported from Zamalka city in Eastern Ghouta area, Rif Dimashq province.
The lieutenant Ahmed Al-Aswa in the interior security forces of Damascus and its countryside told Qasioun News Agency stated that “A Person found a material similar to the salt, same color and taste like salt, later he sold it to one of the commercial shops, and later sold to the residents who were poisoned later”
Al-Aswa added that “All the infected cases were taken to the hospital, including a critical case and others under observation” asserting that the security forces could locate the position of this person and detained him.
Noteworthy that Rif Dimashq province council said that Syrian regime and Russia are fully responsible for this incident by imposing a siege over Ghouta area.
