- Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor witnessed mass destruction in the civil properties, due to the wide military operations conducted previously between the Islamic state ISIS militant group and Syrian regime forces backed up by foreign militias.
The Russian warplanes carried out hundreds of airstrikes over the residential neighborhoods in the city, before seizing it last 14 October, which led to hundreds of casualties among the civilians, according to local reports.
Activists published pictures for the general street in the city, showing the mass destruction in the area, in addition to a video footage that went viral few days ago that shows the city empty from all the life circumstances.
Noteworthy that Russian forces pushed all its military power in the military operations in Mayadin city, as it aimed to reach the Euphrates river shores to cross to the eastern side of the city.
