- #Daraa : Since one year, the residents in the Syrian opposition held areas in Daraa city depends on the wells water to secure their needs for the drinking water, after the main line of water stopped supporting the neighborhoods, due to the Russian airstrikes that hit the main tank in Daraa Al-Balad and damaged the main network completely.

The Syrian Interim government’s chief od local council, Mohammed Al-Masalma, told Qasioun News Agency that “The council could fix the main tank and its pumping line, despite of the high cost, but the damage in water lines in Daraa liberated cities will be highly cost, and cannot search for the problems until conducting an experimental process for pumping and detect these problems and fix it”

Al-Masalma stressed that “Local council unable to provide the fuel needed for the pumping process, due to the lack of fund needed to buy fuel” pointing out that “Syria project for main services took the responsibility of building one well only that works on the solar energy in Khashaby station western Daraa city”

The chief continued “till now the project is not complete due to the financial problems and providing funds to establish the project”

He cleared that residents in Daraa city depends on the water movable tanks to secure their needs for drinking water and other usages, adding that “Pumping the water from Muzaireb lake in the eastern countryside of Daraa was suspended recently due to lack of water in it and the violations committed on the pumping line that passes through the towns of the western countryside of Daraa and supplies Daraa city.

Al-Masalme said that “defeating these violations need a force that it is not available right now, so the main depend will be on Khashaby station that needs to finish the projects supporting it”
