- Bombardment On Syrians In Eastern Damascus Must Stop, Says #UN

- The UN’s Regional Humanitarian Coordinator for the #Syria Crisis, Panos Moumtzis, said in a statement released on Monday that the heavy bombardment on the Syrian opposition held area in Eastern Ghouta is targeting the civilians and must stop immediately.

Moumtzis said "It’s imperative to end this senseless human suffering now. Such targeting of innocent civilians and infrastructure must stop now,"

Moumtzis added that said the humanitarian situation in the Syrian opposition enclave was "spiraling out of control".

"The recent escalation of violence compounds an already precarious humanitarian situation for the 393,000 residents of East Ghouta, many of them internally displaced," he said.

The statement came after a bloody day in Eastern Ghouta, where 200 civilians at least reported killed including tens of children with more than 150 airstrikes following shelling by #Assad regime warplanes plotting with Russian air force.
