- Number Of Syrian Refugees Around The World


13 Million Syrians fled since the spark of conflict 7 years ago, which represents 60% of the population before the war, a rate which is not witnessed during the last decades, according to bio research Centre.

The Centre said in a study published on its website that more than 6,300,000 Syrians (49%) were internally displaced, but this rate changed during the last years as hundreds of thousands returned back to their homes and new displaced were reported.

The rates were disputed in the middle east and north Africa, where more than 5 million fled to neighboring countries such as Turkey (3.4 Million) Lebanon (1 M) Jordan (660,000) Iraq (250,000) in addition to 150,000 living in north Africa such as Egypt and Libya.

In Europe, more than 1 Million Syrians living as refugees or asylum seekers, in Germany (530,000) and represent the 5th biggest host for refugees in the world and Canada resettled more than 52,000 Syrians.

Moreover, the U.S. resettled more than 21,000 Syrians and there are 8,000 Syrians living with the temporary protection program, which grants the migrants who faces wars or disasters in their countries the right for residence and work in the U.S. for a limited time.
