US state of department said in its statement that both sides met on the sidelines of the US general assembly meetings in New York.
Representatives of Syrian human rights organizations, including "Civil Society and Democracy, the Syrian Network for Human Rights, Families for Freedom and the Syrian Center for Justice and Accountability briefed the officials of the three countries on the human rights abuses committed by #Assad regime, including large-scale arrests and torture Methodology for dissidents.
The statement pointed out that "210 thousand arrested, 85 thousand lost, and 14 thousand were tortured by the #Assad regime, since the start of the conflict in Syria."
"Human rights organizations say that the Assad regime has practiced torture and mass arrests since the movement, and targeted opponents and their families to take control of them and intimidate them."
