- Groups Belonging to the Syrian Regime Taking Advantage of the Detainees File to Gain Money

Agencies (IRW) - Armed groups of the #Assad regime have been active in the capital #Damascus and its countryside, with reports of Russian demands for the release of detainees from the regime prisons, media sources said on Monday.

In the past week and during the beginning of this week, many residents reported that members of the reconciliation committees in the destroyed cities and warlords in Damascus had informed them of the possibility of knowing the fate of their detained children.

The sources pointed out this is allegedly done through collaborators in the intelligence and security branches of the regime, for a thousand U.S. dollars.

"The security cells of the regime and its officers and the members of the reconciliation committees take advantage of the people’s emotions who are missing their families, and the majority of the answers to those who paid them are still alive, without informing them of the charges against them, nor the place of detention."

The Syrian Network for Human Rights reported last Saturday that during the month of July, the regime arrested 394 civilians, including 311 men, 22 children and 61 women.
