- Opposition Official: De-escalation Agreement Includes All of the Eastern Ghouta


The head of the Political Bureau of Jaish al-Islam, «Mohammed Alloush» said yesterday evening, that the de-escalation agreement includes all of the eastern Ghouta, including the areas of control by the Failaq al-Rahman, including Jobar and Ein Tarma.

"The weapons will remain ours," Alloush said during a speech on Orient TV. "The siege will be lifted from the eastern Ghouta, the return of the displaced people, the release of the detainees and a reconstruction term." He added that "the fighters will not leave anywhere."

"The agreement is in the context of the political solution to Syria and not a replacement for it. It is based on the Geneva-1 resolution, International Resolutions 2118 and 2254, and the Ankara Agreement of December 2016," he added.

He noted during his speech that: «ongoing negotiations to include the eastern Qalamoun in the agreement and there is progress. »

The agreement between Failaq al-Rahman and the Russian forces in the past few days, entered the East Ghouta to the de-escalation agreement.
