- Damascus Hotels Turns To Refuging Shelters


- #Assad regime media sources said that most of the hotels in Damascus turned to be a refuging shelters for Syrians.

The sources said “After the tourists abandoned it, the owners decided to take benefit of the buildings in another way in exchange for the loss they suffered, most of the hotels in Damascus these days are full, it is hard to find empty rooms especially in the 3-stars hotels, as all of them are reserved for the families who fled the war torn areas”

It indicated “After the hotels in Marje area and 29 May street turned to refuging shelters, the areas became crowded after it lost the tourism movement, where the one night costs around 2000-3500 Syrian lire, depending on the rate and the services of the hotel”

The houses rent raised and still raising to unbelievable levels as the Internal displaced people still increasing in the city, which force some of them to live in places not for the human usage and pay for it huge amount of money, in opposite not to stay in the streets.

The real estate owners take advantage of the high demand for houses and rooms over the value of rents, so that the value of rent does not fit the nature of the property, some real estate is not suitable for housing, the price of a room and a salon without windows raised to 60 Thousand Syrian Lire.
