The campaign launched on Social media websites using the hashtag #SaveGhouta said in a statement “5 years now and 400 thousand civilians are still trapped in a crippling siege that is happening in plain sight and hearing of the whole world. These civilians are deprived of their most basic human rights, the right to life, to access food, medication and education. #Save_Ghouta”
Eastern Ghouta area is one of the de-escalation zones agreement signed in the Kazakh capital city of Astana in 2017, sponsored by Turkey, #Russia and Iran.
#Assad regime forces imposing a siege on Eastern Ghouta since 2012 but it intensified its military operations recently and backed up by Russian air forces, which led to hundreds of casualties among civilians during the last few months.
