The organization said in a statement that the Trade Union in Jordan began issuing these permits for $ 14.1 and directly to refugees working in the construction sector, which is not related to a particular employer and is renewable every year.
The head of the General Federation of Trade Unions in Jordan, Mazen Maayta, confirmed that it was agreed with the Jordanian Ministry of Labor to grant 50,000 work permits in the construction sector for Syrian refugees residing in the Kingdom.
It is noteworthy that these permits are the first of its kind in the Arab region for Syrian refugees since the outbreak of the Syrian revolution in 2011, and the displacement of thousands of Syrians to neighboring countries.
