Local media reported that the 33 graveyards in the capital are full of dead bodies which caused the prices of graves to rise for unbelievable prices.
The report noted that the residents of Damascus said that government employees and workers in the capital's tombs rent abandoned and unused land, thus making great financial gains as a result of death and human disasters.
It added that the graves’ prices before 2011 were between 200 and 400 dollars without any annual fees, pointing out that the people were able to get a free burial in the outskirts of the city.
